FRANCIS ABASTILLAS

Francis Abastillas is an audio engineer, keyboardist, percussionist, and music educator from Southern California. A former mellophone player, Francis began marching with Élan Percussion in 2017 on synthesizer. He went on to play synth for Vessel Percussion from 2018-2020, Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps in 2018 and the Mandarins in 2019. 

 

Since then, he has found opportunities to work with percussion and electronics as a performer and a technician both within and outside of the marching activity, having just completed the 2022 winter and summer seasons with Élan percussion and Vessel Dum and Bugle Corps respectively. With unwavering enthusiasm for what he does, he is eager to pass on what he's learned to today's performers in all levels of the marching activity.

 

This is Francis' second season at Élan Percussion.
