Visual Staff

Phillip is a percussionist residing in southern California. Phillips marched from 2014-2019 with Élan Percussion (2014-2018), POW Percussion (2019), and Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corp (2017-2018).

He also served as an instructor for Santa Monica High School and Simi Valley High School.

Phillip is very excited to see Élan Percussion flourish in the next chapter.

This will be Phillip’s 4th season with Elan.

He was raised and currently resides in La Verne, CA. Outside of teaching, he has studied and received a degree and certification in Sound Recording Technology from Citrus College, where he seeks to further find experience in the field of studio sound recording and production.

Sam currently acts as the visual caption head at Damien HS, and as a visual technician at Gold Drum & Bugle Corps. His performance experience includes Gold Drum & Bugle Corps (2016-2018) on tuba and baritone, Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps (2020-2021) on euphonium, and Pulse Percussion (2022) in the visual ensemble.

This will be Sam’s 2nd year with Elan.

Born and raised in SoCal, Chris Adrian Estrada is a visual instructor from Glendora, CA, currently attending Cerritos College.

Chris is currently the Visual Caption Head at Bell Gardens High School and serves as a Visual instructor/choreographer for the Bellflower High School Marching Band and Winter Percussion.

His performance experience includes: Blue Devils B Drum & Bugle Corps (2015) and Gold Drum and Bugle Corps (2017-2019).

This will be Chris’s 1st year with Elan.

Angel started her colorguard journey seven years ago at Granada Hills Charter High School. Since graduating, she has performed with independent teams, including Icon Winterguard, Elan Winterguard, and VOX Artium’s summer ensemble.

Currently, Angel is also pursuing a degree in Physics at Moorpark College.

This will be Angel’s 1st year with Elan.
